Statement: My works often evolve from observation of everyday life. I like finding ways of bringing personalities of things out by using very simple process. I try to avoid using highly technical methods as this can over power the beauty of objects that already exists in them.
I consider my working process as activating boredom, and it is rewarding if my works can somehow make people think that everyday life can be full of fun.
Plans for your residency?
I would like to work closely with local people who don´t know anything about contemporary art. This can be in the forms of photography, film or performance.
I am fascinated by how people´s identies are formed by the way they dress, the way they talk or by the music they have in their i-Pod. It will be very interesting to see how I can manipulate these small elements and develop into something unexpected. |
