Statement:
I`m discovering and observing left over landscapes and situations mainly around wintersport areas. I`m interested in the strangeness of used places, specially with touristic infrastructure. The mood in these kind of areas - without any people - is fascinating me a lot and gives me a very basic feeling of human civilisation which I try to transfer into my work. I`m drawing sketches directly at the chosen and found places and collect webcam pictures (mostly of mountainresorts) during all the year and use them as basic of my work.
I`m inspired both of old black/white engraving technique and modern, abstract signs/forms/buildings in unnatural colours.
So the basic of my work is mostly an inspection of the boarder between nature, in the sense of the <natural planet> and its <unnatural> cover - included the directions of use.
Plans for your residency? My plan is to explore different <left over> places around Trondheim. It will be interesting to compare the surroundings with the swiss alps and get new impressions and ideas to expand the theme of my work.
