[06.01.12 - 29.02.12] Floortje Zonneveld - Netherlands
"I’m always looking for stories belonging to people, places and the things we normally do. Daily life, its habits, its rhythms, the subjects of everyday thought are the things that inspire me; the things we take for granted. My work is about encounters, contact between people, their surroundings and my wonder about the special details of everyday life".

Do you wish to get in touch with somebody in Trondheim? Of course, I’d love to get in touch with people living in Trondheim. My projects always involve surroundings and people living their daily lifes. For me it’s very important to meet people and I hope to get inspired by whoever I meet and to make some new friends.
Is it something you look forward to…? Whenever I go to Norway, it fascinates me how the sea, the cold, the dark and light are so different from Holland. I look forward to experience what this means for daily life and my work.

Statement:
I’m always looking for stories belonging to people, places and the things we normally do. Daily life, its habits, its rhythms, the subjects of everyday thought are the things that inspire me; the things we take for granted. My work is about encounters, contact between people, their surroundings and my wonder about the special details of everyday life.
Plans for your residency?
As a video-artist who makes mostly art for public places, I’m happy to experience the darker times. I can imagine myself making projections in the streets as a spatial intervention.
