During 2019 we have upgraded the lithography workshop at LKV, with the help of Åsmund Haukelidsæter and it is soon ready for regular use. The project is supported by Norske Grafikeres Forbund, Torstein Erbos Gavefond and volunteer work from tenants at LKV.

In February and April we are arranging four courses for professional artists in lithography. The course will run through the techniques of grinding, drawing, etching and pressing stones. The goal is to give the participants an introduction to be able to use the lithography workshop on their own. The course fee is 1200,-.

In October Dan Mariner from Galleri Noua in Bodø held a course in frame making for 8 participants at LKV. We learned basic techniques for frame making and all the participants made their own frame.

Documentation of pop-up-exhibition in the stairways Wednesday 26th of June 2019

LKV was well represented in the workers’ parade on the 1st of May. Carrying banners made on a workshop arranged by Matilde Westavik Gaustad and Anne Helga Henning and puppets arranged by Mishi Foltyn and Per Stian Monsås picturing Erna Solberg, Trine Skei Grande and Kjell Ingolf Ropstad.

After a comradely breakfast at LKV we all headed for the parade and in spite of the rain our chants where well heard.

The slogans of the day where “solidarity with artists”, “yes to artistic freedom of speech”, “payment pays off” among others.

The door will be moved towards the right end of the wall. 

The course will give you an introduction to 3-layer screen printing, including transferring your image to a prepared screen using ultra violet lights and hand printing the image. 

The maximum amount of participants is 4, and registration can be done by sending an e-mail to: mail@lkv.no. Registration is binding. The price for the whole course is 1200,- 

Participants need to bring the following:

The design must be A4 in size, as we are printing onto A3 paper.
The paper has to be the size A3, 220g minimum. X20 pieces maximum.

We will supply the frames, emulsion, emulsion remover, screen print medium (for acrylic).

The course will start at 12.00 and continue to 17/18 estimated. The course will be held in English.
