Workshop: Brain & Music
Opening
Welcome to a workshop with artist Kristina C. Karlsen!
In the workshop Brain & Music, artist Kristina C. Karlsen invites you to Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (LKV), where we will explore memory and illustrate a song using monotype (a printmaking technique). The project is based on the artist’s long-term work following memory loss and the search for recollection.
Throughout the workshop, we will work with color mixing, printing, and drawing. Participants will be introduced to concepts such as abstraction and simplification, with association playing a central role in the process; seeing something in the image and letting it inspire further work toward a finished piece.
Together with Kristina, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the brain, using music and text to create a visual artwork based on personal memory.

When: Sunday, November 16, 2025.
· Workshop for children (9-13 years old): 12:00–14:00.
· Workshop for adults: 15:00–17:00
