An invitation to be present, to observe, and to join the quiet revolution of art
How does the body’s inner logic influence the ways we move through the world? Forlengelser, created by choreographer Rannei Grenne in collaboration with the international artist duo BUTCHER&CORREIA, exists at the intersection between choreography and exhibition. Audiences are invited into a space where artistic processes unfold in rel-time, extending dance outwards like tentacles – from the bodily into the world around us.
Emerging from Grenne’s ongoing dance practice, this piece emphasizes dance as inherently political: an insistence on the act of dancing itself as a quiet protest against society’s constant demands for production and growth. Instead, the artists seek presence, humanity, and lived experience.
Forlengelser poses questions rather than offering aswers: What forms do our bodies take? How do societal structures shape our movements? By directing attention inward, the work encourages reflection on our place in the world – as individuals and as collective.
