Edvine Larssen
Edvine Larssen (b. Vefsn, 1977) lives and works in Trondheim. She works in the intersection between the performative, the sculptural, and the architectural, both within and beyond the gallery context. Her installations are both materially sensuous and conceptual. She has been invited to create site-specific works for, among others, Tromsø Kunstforening, Kunstnernes Hus, Trondheim International Performing Arts Festival, TSSK, LevArt, and the National Museum, to name a few.
Larssen has long been engaged in arts policy and has served as deputy chair of NBK (The Association of Norwegian Visual Artists) since 2023. She holds a PhD from the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme/NTNU (2018), and was educated at CCA Kitakyushu in Japan, the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, and Kingston University in London. She also served as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tromsø from 2019 to 2023.
