Matilde Westavik Gaustad (1987, Trondheim) is a visual artist who completed her Master of Fine Art from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 2016 and now lives in Trondheim. Gaustad works with hand woven tapestry and video, and focuses on the peculiar and sometimes unsettling aspects of the relationship between humans, animals, and technology. She has exhibited at Trondheim Kunsthall, Hannah Ryggen Triennale, Telemark Kunstsenter, Heimdal kunstforening, Nils Aas Kunstverksted and Kunsthal Charlottenborg, among others. Her work has been acquired by KORO, Kunstmuseet Nord-Trøndelag, Trondheim kommune and Oslo kommunes kunstsamling.
