I am deeply engaged with the connection between humans, nature, and dreams. Do we share a collective consciousness with the forest, the mountain, the glacier, and the sea?
In 1997, I graduated from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art after five years in the printmaking department. Prior to that, I completed a degree at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (NIH) and worked for many years as an outdoor life guide. One of my key interests is the northern regions and the Arctic; primarily the natural conditions, but also the geopolitical landscape.
I have exhibited work across Europe and Asia and have been active on the Norwegian art scene. Since 1993, I have also contributed to the development of the shared workshops at LKV. In 2010, I was selected for the Beijing International Art Biennale (BIAB), and have since been invited to exhibitions and international collaborations in China, Japan, Thailand, and India. My work is represented in numerous collections, and I have completed several public art commissions.
I work with light-based graphic techniques, photography, cyanotype on plywood, printmaking, and tempera - often outdoors, using the sun as a light source.
