Open Call for 2027/2028 opens in January 2026

In 2019, the LKV AiR program was expanded from two to four guest apartments. Previously reserved for visual artists and craft practitioners, the program opened to include artists working in other disciplines. The program is developed in collaboration with local partners, who contribute professional expertise, networks, and access to relevant facilities when capacity allows.

The program places particular emphasis on interdisciplinary projects within dance, music, performing arts, film, literature, and curating. We encourage professional artists who already work across disciplines - as well as those who wish to explore new directions and challenge their artistic practice - to apply.

The residency offers space for artistic immersion and development in a new environment, while also facilitating networking and new collaborations. As we cannot always offer access to specialized facilities beyond those available in LKV’s shared workshops, the program is especially well-suited for artists in an open, exploratory phase of their work - where flexibility and process-oriented approaches are more important than production capacity.

Who can apply?

Professional artists working in dance, music, performing arts, film, literature, and curators who are not based in Trondheim are welcome to apply for a residency at LKV. We encourage applications from individuals representing a diversity of experiences, perspectives, and artistic practices—regardless of age, background, gender identity, or form of expression.
