Open Call for 2027/2028 opens in January 2026

The residency program for visual arts and craft offers professional artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in their work in a new environment. As part of the residency, artists are provided with a spacious 50 m² studio with excellent natural light, along with access to professional production facilities within the building.

We place no requirements on how the residency should be used, and offer a framework that allows artists the freedom to work on their own terms. LKV also provides an inspiring artistic community, with opportunities to explore new media, techniques, and directions in one’s practice, as well as to build networks with local artists and collaborators.

The residency is open to artists at all stages of their careers, from recent graduates to well-established professionals. The program is particularly well-suited for artists seeking a structured work environment and dedicated time for production or in-depth exploration. It combines professional facilities with flexibility, giving artists the opportunity to develop projects that require time, space, and access to high-quality workshop equipment.

Artists in this program may also apply for an exhibition slot at BABEL as part of their stay.
