Welcome to an artist presentation and workshop with guest artist and exhibiting artist Nevena Ekimova, Wednesday, April 8 at 18:00.

Nevena Ekimova is artist in residence at Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder (LKV) from March to May 2026. Her exhibition «BRAID» is currently on display at BABEL; an interactive, process-based artwork that will take shape during the exhibition period. This work in progress is open for participation throughout the exhibition period. On April 8 Nevena will give a presentation about herself, her artistic practice and her work at BABEL.

After the presentation, everyone will be invited to continue creating the artwork together with the artist. Nevena Ekimova is a Bulgarian artist, currently based in her hometown of Gabrovo. She studied art in Norway and Iceland, and got her BFA at the Valand Art Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden. Besides exhibiting, she often works with institutions and creates large-scale public projects. Nevena’s works are visual and tactile, and often contain a poetic and performative element. They are mostly made using second-hand materials.
